Pont des Arts, no more
The country woke up with a heavy heart today. #Jesuischarlie is everywhere, I had a minute of silence in the office today, holding hands- mourning those who were killed in cold blood yesterday. The whole attack led me quite speechless, as I only found out around noon when I wanted to get myself a pastry across the street. One of my friends was like NO! Don't leave, someone is going rampage. Charlie Hebdo office was like 2 streets away.
I still can't believe that while all the sugary stuffs was going through my head, 12 people were murdered. That made me thought that, I'd die one day because of my greediness -over pastries or/and icecream | My undesirable sweet-tooth.
Another bad news to share, not as devastating, but it seems like Pont des Arts is no longer that romantique love lock bridge. I didn't show much, but they have covered up all the rails on the bridge and you have no access to locking your lock there anymore. Plus gratifies tagging on those wooden boards, pouuf- all the romance in air has been flushed down into the drain. No idea if they would open it up again, or remove some locks because the rails become too heavy. Paris had a terrible start of 2015... let's hope that things will get better soon.
Update | Looks like they have removed those ugly boards!
