Stardust Blings
Yoho! I'm kinda super proud of myself because all of these photos were taken with my iphone, they look pretty decent. I didn't bring my canon because, I thought no photos were allowed for exhibition. Turned out that I was wrong ._. So voila the exhibition that I visited than made me terribly ill afterwards. But no regrets. Even if my fingers would be proud to model for any of these jewelleries, I don't think they would fit my violent/un-delicate nature. (argh)
I can't get enough of those fabulous arches in the Grand Palais, even though it's basically a hangar. In fact, it's the very first time that I went in. Fact 1, for nothing being a student anymore- the entrance tickets cost 30€ for adults and 25€ or free for art students. Still can't believe that I'm a full fledged adult now, that I used to be an art student (wtf) (whyu) But I paid well, I guess. Fact 2, blazing eyes, drooling saliva for the entire 5hours where my feet ached, and grumbling tummy - I was satisfied. The exhibition also had a couple of galleries with art pieces from Zao Wou Ki *_* Favorites of the favorites are the blings from Chaumet, they exposed their 12 different collections titled Lumières d'Eau. Each set had their very own names and just by their names alone, described the pieces so well. I felt so stupid now that I didn't keep the introduction brochure. They had a unique scent to their small exposition space, so yeah it's all about the atmosphere. Cartier had the biggest collection for show, though I didn't find what I was hoping to catch a glimpse of. Dior also had wonderful pieces that were designed based on the Mr Dior's original clothing designs.
Well then I'd let you discover other pieces of star dusts yourself. There's no need for introductions for Van Cleef & Arpels, but I've got to say that I was a little disappointed in Chanel and Bvlgari's collection. Nevertheless, these star dust blings are definitely engraved into your minds once you see them up close.
