Highway to Vienna

Aloha! I know I've always been rewinding time, and this time round, no excuses. 3 weeks in Singapore, I have hoped to achieve some stuffs. Once again, I've thought too highly of myself!

I'm back in Paris with a couple of changes in life. I'm slowly trying to find a new pace in life and well— meanwhile of course, looking through holiday photos. I'm sure I've already shared photos of another french field of sunflowers. However, this is the first time, that I've actually came across a huge plot of sunflower field with reasonably strong and healthy sunflowers ☼

No doubt, I'd have much more stories to share. Till then,

xoxo

so tall and bright
so free and wild
so brave and vibrant
that when you see me standing
you’d think i am a sunflower

Breeze from Cannes

Just like the breeze, c'est la rentrée!

I'm slowly picking my pace to get back to my proper eat-sleep-work-repeat schedules. It ain't easy when it seems like every other friend, or sister-in-law visits you on your weekends #goodbyesleep. After a week of 36-37º, I was dreaming of my quick drop-by Cannes during my holidays. Some hot sand prickling under my feet now would do so much mental/physical healing.

Cannes was really a quick dropby. It was the last hopping city before reaching Nice. We were already driving for a couple of hours and decided that a little break, walking around another beautiful city would wake all of us up. Flashy cars, shop-till-you-drop boutique displays along every inch of the road, those definitely brighten our spirits a little. Ideally, it would have been fun to find a restaurant and people watch, while bitch-gossip-guessing who/which rich and famous people they were. But we were partly racing with the sunset to get to our next AirBnb, so no expensive Spritz on the terasse ;)

Meanwhile, I never thought I would crave so much for winter to come. Zero ideas on how to dress up for this hot temperature without looking like a wringing-wet kitty! Would someone deliver some Haagen Dazs to my door step please? My neighbourhood supermarket no longer stocks up on Haagen Dazs' Caramel Biscuits and Cream. What a crime seriously! :(

Happy CNY!

It's the year of the monkey!!!

祝大家恭喜发财,身体健康,步步高升!

Ever since I came back from my long break in December, I've been so immersed into my work, barely had time for myself and any other side projects!

I'm ultra sorry to my super slow #giveaway previously. I was supposed to send out the parcel to my winner, Milli Grace on Friday, but my printer had too much to cope, and the delivery has been delayed a week! #ImSoSORRY! I'd really send out asap! I know my printer ain't that reliable on deadlines now. :(

Anyhoos, after that 3 crazy long weeks, I got a break— to go back to my hometown for CNY celebrations with my family. As I've updated on Day.re (yeah I actually found time to do it), my mom made these yummy 发糕,or huat kuey (as Singaporeans say). It basically means "Cake that brings you luck and prosperity". As it's my family's tradition, my mom demanded a #flatlay of these cupcakes. Unfortunately, the angbaos (red envelopes) are empty— they're my mom's collection over many years.

Chinese New Year is all about food right? But I feel like I haven't had my fill of exceptionally yummilicious stuffs. There were lots of cookies and pies. But what I was really craving for, was really good hotpot soup and ingredients. Except I only had it once— and that ain't enough. :(

I really needa up my speed before the year is over, and my Japan travelogue isn't even typed out! I actually have a longgg rant to tell, but I guess I shouldn't pollute my beautiful space here with my nonsense!!

Till then, good luck to myself!

Happy Monkey Year!
