First snow, first walk

In my past (-going to) 5 years in Paris, while some winters were chilly, but it never snowed like how it snowed recently. Even if it was lightly snowing, I was always cooped up in the office working on 123456th version of a client's request.

I was luckily walking around the streets that day. I wasn't even expecting snow, but something in me just tugged me to get out my new fur coat (scored it over the winter sales). It was so freaking cold! The fur coat helped so much— of course while spending 40minutes in the cold waiting for my partner in crime.

stagnantly progressing?

Transitioning to a full-time independent designer is completely new to me. I am absolutely clueless at selling myself, but I am confident of my skills. A little lost in everything, I've never been someone with a clever mouth, nor being a social butterfly. I guess it's one of those little things that I'd learn in 2018. I've also began to wonder if Paris is the city for me. As much as I love this place, maybe it's time to move on to a new adventure. I'm giving myself a little more time before anything big happens.

Would you be interested if I share some super cool projects? It's always a dilemma for me to sort things out between the blog and portfolio (speaking of which, needs an update). Any suggestions fellow designer readers?

Brand lift;

As you have noticed, it's a tiny new renovation again. Decided to ditch the vibrant blue to a down-to-earth green. Perhaps it's a little too Christmassy vibes, time will tell how much I like this. The logo had a bit of minor cleanup (you probably wouldn't even notice) again and a pastel wash for a softer feel. Though I'm still indecisive, little things will continuously be tweaked around.

Also do sign up for the newsletter! I've completely re-designed it to fit the new theme and I've planned for a couple of stuffs happening on the blog (freebies / content / visuals) Please look forward to them!

Once a while in the middle of an ordinary life, a little bit of snow gives us a fairy tale.

My quartier générale, where I used to have lunch or sit there after work for drinks with colleagues and friends. It's one of the to see and to be seen places. Plus with #PFW coming up, who knows you'd see. GD and CL had been sighted on this street before, but it's not like I have any luck with them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's super interesting to know that, I got to know Felicia on my blog.  Apparently she used to stalk my blog some time ago -and she still does (hopefully), no longer leaving anonymous comments :)

In fact, she got to "know" me through one of my best friends. The first time I actually met her real-life was a little awkward. Just smiles and simple hello. Fast forward a few years, Felicia started flying on Singapore Airlines and she'd pop by to Paris from time to time. Soon, we clicked correctly- no more awkward silent smiles. It's the first time we took selfies. She'd bring me tones of awesome food that I miss from Singapore. We will spend a day or two walking around the streets -window shopping- (most of the time) and eating good food, including the funny ritual to have at least a korean meal or japanese bento.

Can't wait for her to pop by again next month to celebrate the end of year and some upcoming road trips! 2014 is going to end with a bang

Christmas is coming earlier thanks to a friend, Paula. Well- a friend of friend, who wanted to go to Chanel, which was a very bad move. I never thought that I'd leave with a bag in my hands, which I did. I got myself that pair of Chanel espadrilles which every fashion bloggers seem to have. I got it in leather though. When I tried it in the boutique, it was so smooth and comfty. I was totally sold on the spot. After being told that it was the brand new stock delivery and they only had one size for each shoe model, it convinced me further more to buy it. I left the shop all happy and smiling hoping that summer is around the corner.

Paris is a really beautiful city especially during this festive season. Light decorations are up everywhere. People are buzzing around everywhere preparing christmas presents for their loved ones. From the Chanel store, Paula and I walked to Place de Vendome and to Opera. The wind was icy cold. Funnily, we bumped into a crowd of fans waiting for Infinite when we went to Pierre Hermé near Opéra. It's strange because I never have luck with celebrities, apparently neither does Paula. It would seem to me that negative + negative leads to positive luck. Infinite is a korean boyband who are having their world tour. I hardly know them, but Paula is their fan, so we waited for sometime, till we were frozen- to see L zooming out so quickly that I hardly saw him at all. It was funny to see that the french were really curious who all the fans were waiting for. Almost everyone who passed by were asking non stop. I was actually surprised that some actually knew them.

As quick as how L left, we also quickly left to go to Galerie Lafayette to warm ourselves up. The streets were flooded with people everywhere. It was impossible to move around at Galerie without worrying about squashing our Camelia flower. We were sardined compactly, moving in lines just to get to the escalator. It was super crazy, I've never been to any places like that. I guess it's the christmas shopping that everyone's busy with. We ended the day with a new YSL Rouge Pur Couture, some escargots and foie gras for Paula to taste real french food, not forgetting smiling and aww-ing at Kim Tan and Choi Young do even if the ending of episode of 16 was so sad.
