Philosopher’s Path

Kyoto

Can believe that i have yet 10000 over photos of travelogues to share.

So here we are, almost exactly one year ago, Paula and I along with our cutie pie DiDi-chan decided to check out the famous trail — The Philosopher’s path.

It was the Sakura season afterall! Paula and I were somewhat disappointed by the sakuras by Nakameguro’s river view in Tokyo. Perhaps we were too early for the full bloom and the wet weather didn’t help, so we thought maybe Kyoto's sight would be better! Indeed we were right! Many thanks to Didi’s recommendation!

Naturally there were plenty of people at the path to admire the sakuras! The view was definitely much better than Nakameguro.

We were pretty much there at the right moment for these blooms.

Architectural wise, it’s so beautifully spaced out. The stone path is actually a small canal alley that’s allocated in a super residential neighbourhood, Nazenji. The walk ways are actually quite small, there’s a couple of benches every few meters. According to my google research, this path spans 2kms with over hundreds of sakura trees.

Everyone’s just happily walking, without any care where they are heading to either. There’s one or two restaurants around, that seemed to be full. We just happily took our o-sanpo, pausing every now and then to snap photos (∩˃o˂∩)♡

There were plenty of beautiful houses along the path too. It just makes people dream~
Or at least, I do (,,>﹏<,,) Kyoto has so many beautiful spots that I feel like it’s such a wonderful place to retire!

I can sit here all day
and people watch

Dreaming

Kdrama Plot

That very moment where suddenly the wind blows and it’s raining sakuras

Now, for the question of the day….

After walking the Philosopher’s path, am I a lot cleverer than before? ☝️🤓

On another hand, if you know us by hard now, how many kitsunes have you noticed throughout the post? 🤭
