Inner Dokaebi

Inner Dokaebi

Ok not everything that started out in 2017 was terrible. As you may have guessed, I was, eh-hum, I am still wrenching my heart out to Dokaebi. 😈 The drama started out in December 2016, but I didn’t watch it until January. I hated the idea of watching only 2 episodes a week. So I waited. There was a lot of hype about it. Paula never stopped bugging me to watch. When 14 episodes were available, I started watching. Obviously, I fell in love with the characters, when you have two hot actors, Gong yoo and Lee Dongwook— you simply cannot resist. I was a little skeptical about the female lead, cuz she’s so young. But it turned out fine. I love her character… In ancient times, Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is an unbeatable general in wars, but the young King (Kim Min-Jae) is jealous of Kim Shin and kills him.Read More +

Life ain’t simple,

Life ain’t simple,

Hello there, I’m back to make a recap of these festive seasons. So many things happened, from one of the bestest NYE parties to the magicial ice skating experience under the galaxy skies of the Grand Palais to the worst ultimate burlgary to my apartment. This is how my crappy 2017 began. But first, pardon these huge .gifs images (obviously Boomerang photos 😳 ) I thought they were fun, probably helps to dramatise my tale 😥 Let’s start with the Grand Palais. Every year during Christmas season, they transform the hangar into a beautiful ice skating ring for a month. For the past 3 years in Paris, I’ve thought about going, but the dates never seemed right to me since usually fly back to Singapore. This year, from Christmas night to New Year Eve, I had so much parties that I barely— slept. It was parties everyday till 6am and poof–Read More +

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

— In Journal

But technically, I’m a day late. (what’s new really, at this state) It’s already the 26th! 2016 flew pass, and I can’t wait for it to be over. I’d say 2016 hasn’t been really smooth… my Agenda project‚ as you can probably guess now— has been cancelled 🙁 . I thought it was official when I started out printing samples, selecting fabrics and papers. But holy, when I got the samples, they turned out quite terrible. The quality of the books wasn’t up to the quality that I was expecting. I’ve tried 2 different printers; waste of time and money. So I guess it’d be for the next year = I’d have to work on more printer contacts! I have a sudden surge of projects on top of my office life. Things have been quite tough‚ but still, I don’t give up drama life 😆 I’ve spent my Christmas day indoors inRead More +

It’s Fall, Paris

It’s Fall, Paris

— In Art and Crafts

Literally, “fall”… If you see what I mean. It’s autumn, Paris has been transformed into a golden yard wherever there’s trees. Plus those pitter-patter rain drops, it makes walkways ultra slippery which makes you fall 🙁 Which I stupidly fell flat on my face some three weeks ago. A huge ‘piak’ echoed the street, while two ungentlemen pretended not to hear— that moment, I lost a huge chunk of hope in humanity. I mean, does it to help a lady who fell flat on the face? As if falling isn’t very embarrassing already, you had to ignore her as if she didn’t exist *roll-eyes*. I took it as a slap in life, to wakeup, perfect man does not exist. While in any kdrama, I would have fallen over a super hot guy and the story blossoms into some life changing drama/ Et NON! Not happening ha… Just kidding… I was in aRead More +

Breeze from Cannes

Breeze from Cannes

— In Photoblog, Travelogue

Just like the breeze, c’est la rentrée! I’m slowly picking my pace to get back to my proper eat-sleep-work-repeat schedules. It ain’t easy when it seems like every other friend, or sister-in-law visits you on your weekends #goodbyesleep. After a week of 36-37º, I was dreaming of my quick drop-by Cannes during my holidays. Some hot sand prickling under my feet now would do so much mental/physical healing. Cannes was really a quick dropby. It was the last hopping city before reaching Nice. We were already driving for a couple of hours and decided that a little break, walking around another beautiful city would wake all of us up. Flashy cars, shop-till-you-drop boutique displays along every inch of the road, those definitely brighten our spirits a little. Ideally, it would have been fun to find a restaurant and people watch, while bitch-gossip-guessing who/which rich and famous people they were. But weRead More +

Goodbye Mr Sunshine

Goodbye Mr Sunshine

— In Lifestyle

I’m never bored of this place. I came back again, for the second time this year, along with my visiting aunts and cousins— to watch the sunset. It’s been forever since I actually climb up the dune to enjoy the sunset views. My mom was skeptical about it. It’s been years since she climbed. I managed to convince her old bones that it’d do her mind some wonderful imaginative power boost. Hell yeah, it did! If you’ve been reading, the view of the dune and the tree tops could be a little traumatising for people with acrophobia. My aunt was a little stuck half way because she was scared to look behind her. After some group effort, they managed to get up. This year’s summer ain’t too bad. Compared to the previous few times, I was wearing really light. While we were waiting for the sunset, strong wind, waspy insectsRead More +

Happy 26th!

Happy 26th!

— In Lifestyle, Lookbook

Officially 26 means no more free museum access 🙁 when I stupidly was interested in a couple of exhibitions! Weirdly, while I was typing this post, I kept thinking I’m 27 😯 , signs of age #seriously.  So then, as you can see, I’m back to my beautiful Marais neighbourhood. The emptiness of a Parisian summer is actually quite cool, lesser tourists crowding around the corners, makes taking photos so much easier! A month and a week is gone with a blink of my eye. It’s time to wet my office seat with my sweat and racking up some brain cells. For the past 5 weeks, I’ve been walking around the south of France, Italia, and London. Practically walk off my feet (I sound like an old granny, but aye)— I guess it’s time to get glued to my seat while resting my feet as much as possible. From what I’ve heard, looksRead More +

Provence in Purple

Provence in Purple

— In Lookbook, Travelogue

Buon Giorno! Okay, Italian vibes still strong in my brain. I’m back on French soil and on my last #airbnb apartment in a seriously hidden town of nowhere. For once, I’m actually “home” early— I should make use of this time to blog! So this roadtrip was planned some 4–6months before, with my parents and 2 of my aunts and cousins. With a total of 7 of us, my dad rented a 9 seater car to tour the south of France all the way to Italia for 2 weeks. Provence isn’t my first stop, but it’s the most eggciting part of my roadtrip. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to see them as my roadtrip was near the harvesting dates. But lucky me! They were still there. So I’m here eggcitedly sharing my beautiful purple fields. My dad actually drove to the first touristic location, Abbaye de Senaque. WeRead More +

And so the roadtrip started ~~~ I’m somewhere out in the central south of France enjoying the views of old ruins and colloseums. Dear Alice, you actually got your wish came true 😉 I gotta say that the free wifi from my hotel is so crappy here that I’m actually tapping my own hotspot. #countrysideproblems Voila, the second time I met Isabelle, we went to the beach late afternoon. People were leaving when we decided to come. Both of us were drowned in our own fatigues and workload, but decided that we shouldn’t miss this yearly ritual to come to the beach. Besides I bought not one but two new swimsuits, couldn’t pass off the chance to put them on! I think I should say that horizontal stripes doesn’t look that flattering on me, but I loved the back details so much that I couldn’t leave the shop without buying it *noteRead More +

Missing Sunset

Missing Sunset

— In Lookbook

I’m on my longest holiday ever, since my schooling years. 5 weeks out of my office, hopefully it’d do some good to my well-being. I was dreaming for July to come until my bones broke.  There— it’s gonna be 14th July tomorrow, Bastille Day— that I realized my 5 weeks off, isn’t that much of a relaxing time as I thought it’d be. **sobs/flips-hair** I’ve been working my brains off the past week and a half on a last minute project that landed on my hands. Thinking that things would be easy to handle. But nope. The process had to be a little complicated because it’s summer holidays… Not everyone was available. I’m prancing around doing groceries, chopping almost-half of my hair off, dying my hair pink, feeding the kitty and hamster, painting a new canvas and listening to my mom nagging at my undeniable messy room while waiting for email beepingRead More +
