Obataimu
Previously, previously— I went to Obataimu's pop up store opening, fell in love with almost everything in the store.
Talking about taking chances, I brought a friend, we decided to pop by, wondering if Obataimu would be open. When we arrived, Noorie was right outside her shop, ready to open. One in a million times that I actually had luck. After a lovely presentation, Noorie and Sophie quickly urged me to try on a few pieces in store. I loved everything in it— really! I mean, how can I actually pick any item out of everything I tried? The fabrics are created in Bombay (I hope I haven't got it wrong), and they are ultra soft and comfortable.
Each design can be customised to your length. You can pick your preferred color from their textile books. Then your clothes would be handmade and handdyed by the team in Bombay, shipped to your door step in two weeks! Antisocial Beige (Why is Beige being antisocial? Isn't he a neutral party?), Punkster Indigo and Dumbledore White and many more— flipping through these color books would lift the corners of your lips while you imagine the final look of the designs you choose. And if you're lucky enough to be in Bombay, you can actually meet the couturier (if that's the right term). You can still experience a little behind the scenes with the panel of tablet phones though!
Voila, a lovely Sunday evening spent in the shop. Unfortunately, some unhappy residence didn't like the new festive neighborhood, and decided to cut off any ballons there were decorated outside popup stores in the street! Especially you— the nasty guy(s) who broke the two little cute chairs outside the shop! Be warned! You will be hunted down by the mighty Sophie! Meanwhile on the brighter side of life, if possible have a great Monday!
Thank you Sophie for most of the photos!
