Zaragoza & Tapas
I'm back from Zaragoza, Spain with lots of photos and a new theme! Let me rant a little, I was bored of my black bars which are now white *_* I had serious troubles fitting the theme for responsive design. I don't get why when it's in normal HTML/CSS it works, when I added Wordpress loops, responsive just decided to stop working. (rage) Anyhoos! Imma split into many posts, first one up is all about food mainly taken with my new Galaxy Camera.
One crazy thing about Spain's their lunch time. Shops are closed from 1-4 or even 5pm (depending on shops) (wtf) Which is pretty annoying for non-Spanish folks. I mean, we don't eat lunch that late besides we don't take such a long break! Ah, I gotta say that I'm travelling with a group of oldies for this trip (bear) The hotel had breakfast included, so the time to eat lunch was pushed back a little later. Since we were in Spain, tapas are everyhere! What are tapas? From wikipedia;
Tapas (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtapas]) are a wide variety of appetizers, or snacks, in Spanish cuisine. They may be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as chopitos, which are battered, fried baby squid). In select bars in Spain, tapas have evolved into an entire, and sometimes sophisticated, cuisine. In Spain, patrons of tapas can order many different tapas and combine them to make a full meal. In some Central American countries, such snacks are known as bocas.
Searching around for Tapas, I came across La Pilara. The only one that looks like it's open and inviting. I hoped in, gosh *_* All the tapas looks tempting and I was already hungry. I just asked for them to set up a table for 7! Then everyone came to join me. :) I guess no words needed. Everyone just picked what they wanted. Plus the price was well reasonable too. It's around 2.20-2.50€ per tapas? Anyway, I could every almost eat everything. Even though my blogger instincts kicked in for some photos, but I didn't take pictures of everything we ordered. I was too hungry making my rounds to the bar pointing at whichever that looks promising. I would have much preferred to sit on high chairs, but you know... On another hand, I have yet to explore the Galaxy Camera. I can't even remember what mode I used, some of the photos are blurred unfortunately TT_TT Three days in Zaragoza, not only tried Tapas, but also some Paella and their Risotto. They taste great but- compared to these tapas, the photos definitely not that worth showing! There's also those restaurants/bars with huge cow ribs / pork legs hanging on their windows. But once again, I can't destroy this pretty red-themed post with something else. I'd just leave it to your imagination :D
